OUR JOURNEY TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES

Asia-Traders transports you to Bali through our specially curated Balinese arts and crafts collections, sourced directly from villages around Bali. We invite you to envision our Balinese art items displayed in your living room walls, or our Papua necklaces (made entirely of seashells) as a centre piece on your side table, or perhaps our buddha statues in a home or garden corner you wish to draw attention to.

The options are limitless and you will have fun wearing or designing your home, office, and garden space with unique Balinese arts and crafts.

The Balinese are often portrayed as a spiritual, artistic and asthetically inclined population. We couldn’t agree more. We have spent years scouring the beautiful island of Bali, in search for typically 100% Balinese ethnic products. With over 17 years experience working in Asia, we have managed to build relationships and trust with villagers (often resourceful women) managing their home and families. This has given Asia-Traders access to remote communities and often bespoke Balinese products, which we proudly showcase for you on this website.

As we enter villages, we reach out to families and communities directly. Asia-Traders aims to disrupt the cycle of poverty through creating sustainable jobs. Our artisan Balinese craftsman are able to earn a steady income by creating hand made Balinese art, crafts, jewelry, bags, and home decor items, preserving their talents and providing them with dignified work.
By empowering villagers to sell both modern and primitive Balinese arts and crafts, jewelry, and handbags, we are able to showcase their Balinese handicrafts and bring their talent into the homes and shops of discerning customers.

Our curated collections

Some of our products might be completely bespoke and available in limited quantities. Others can be produced for retail or wholesale, as indicated on our products pages. Regardless, you will be awed at the high quality workmanship of each of our Balinese jewelry, arts and crafts pieces and Balinese home décor items.

Our Balinese art and crafts collection includes Balinese paintings, ethnic decorative masks, statues, and papua new Guinea necklaces along with jewelry and handbags. Balinese arts and crafts lovers can look forward to an array of upcoming exciting items being added to our collection, such as vases, baskets, trays, ikat textiles, batik art, woven (gringsing) fabrics, wood and stone carvings.

We are also excited to be building partnerships with talented Balinese artisans and jewelers offering brut silver jewelry, metal and shell ornaments, semi-precious stones, leather, antique artefacts and natural skin products.
